Project Scope

We were looking to build a custom system that would allow remote control of our universal (UR3) robots.


We built a robot arm digital twin as a PoC solution.

Functional features:

  • Load a 3D model of the robot, then place it and resize it in real space for comfort​​.
  • Control the virtual robot via gestures by directly grabbing and moving its joints. The real robot will mimic the movements of the virtual one.​
  • For config, precise movements and other actions, a menu is available and parented to your left hand. The use the menu, face the palm of your right hand towards you to make it visible and use your right hand to press the buttons​​.
