What image best represents your vision for the future? 

Imagine a turquoise bay nestled between rugged cliffs. At first glance, the rocks seem barren and lifeless, but hidden beneath them, tree roots reach into an underground spring that discreetly feeds the bay. Coral and marine life flourish below the surface. For me, this bay symbolizes inner peace and the clarity that guides me. It’s a reminder that resilience and beauty often grow where we least expect them. 

What are your three most important goals for the next five years? 

Gratitude – every day. Maintaining my physical, mental, and emotional health. Above all, staying true to my values and ensuring every decision leaves me with a clean conscience. 

What motivates you each day to keep moving forward? 

The belief that every day is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to do good. I don’t chase a singular goal or follow a single role model. Instead, I’ve made a personal pact to live consciously and leave a trace of kindness wherever I go.

Beyond the Office: Passions and Personal Wisdom

Carmen is not only a technologist but also a mentor, an advocate for female-founded businesses, and a creator at heart. Through initiatives like Bridging Gaps and Bravva Angels, she uplifts communities and promotes inclusion in tech. Outside of work, she enjoys writing, painting, and spending time with her family and dogs. 

What hobbies help you unwind? 

I enjoy reading, writing, painting, mentoring, and spending time with my husband, our dogs, family, and friends. 

Where do you find inspiration? 

When I need peace, I turn to my senior dog. When I need clarity, I talk with my husband. When I’m overflowing with ideas, I write. When I need more ideas, I read. 

Is there a book that’s profoundly influenced you? 

The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson. It encapsulates my values and beliefs better than any book I’ve read. It’s an extraordinary work on leadership, psychology, and applied philosophy. 

A Philosophy to Live By

Carmen draws from Sanderson’s Stormlight Archive not only for inspiration but also for personal guidance. Her favorite quote, from the character Wit (Hoid), echoes her ethos: 

The question isn’t whether you will love, suffer, dream, or die. It’s what you will love, why you will suffer, when you will dream, and how you will die. That is the choice you get to make. You cannot choose the destination, only the path.”

rinf.tech Wins Software Outsourcing Project of the Year at the 2025 ANIS Awards

We are proud to announce that rinf.tech has been named the winner of the Software Outsourcing Project of the Year category at the 2025 ANIS Awards, hosted by ANIS – Romania’s Employers’ Association of the Software and Services Industry. The award recognizes our innovative Vertical Lift Module (VLM) project for Kardex, a solution that stood out among a record number of submissions this year.

The 11th edition of the IT Industry Excellence Awards saw 85 project entries from 48 companies, with only 27 proposals from 18 organizations advancing to the final round. Emerging as the winner in this highly competitive landscape is a testament to the innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence that define our team at rinf.tech.

This recognition marks the second time in three years that rinf.tech has secured the top honor in this category. In 2023, we were awarded for our custom CCTV solution for UK trains, followed by a finalist position in 2024 for our initial collaboration with Kardex. Our continued presence among the elite of Romania’s IT industry reflects our unwavering commitment to delivering high-impact software solutions tailored to complex industrial and enterprise needs.

The winners were announced on 2 April 2025 during the ANIS Gala ceremony, held at the JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel. The event took place following the second edition of the ANIS International Summit, a gathering that brings together thought leaders, media experts, investors, and global institutional representatives, including from the World Bank.

Rinf.tech's Vertical Lift Module Project Selected As a Finalist for ANIS Awards 2024

We’re pleased to announce that ANIS, Romania Employers’ Association of the Software and Services Industry, shortlisted our Vertical Lift Module (VLM) project for Kardex in the Software Outsourcing Project of the Year category at the 10th edition of the IT Industry Excellence Awards. 

This year, ANIS has received 85 applications from 54 different companies—a record number since the competition began in 2015. 26 project submissions from 20 companies in 8 categories have qualified for the final stage.

The winners will be announced on May 8, 2024, during the ANIS 2024 Gala event that will cap off a day of heated debates at the first-ever ANIS International Summit.

Last year, rinf.tech won the IT Industry Excellence Awards in the Software Outsourcing Project of the Year category with our custom CCTV solution for UK trains.

The distinguished jury for this year’s Awards includes industry experts from Romanian media outlets such as Forbes and Financial Newspaper, IT Clusters from Sibiu, Cluj, and Transilvania, investors like TechAngels Romania, academic leaders like the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, and representatives from prestigious organizations, including the World Bank.

Romanian-based tech consultancy and software engineering company, rinf.tech opened its fourth Delivery Center in Romania. The new office is located at the United Business Center in Iasi and will host up to 100 software engineers. As of today, the company is in full growth, with dozens of open positions in the IT market.

December 14, 2023, IASI, Romania – We’re thrilled to announce that last week, we opened our fourth office and Delivery Center in Romania, in Iasi. Designed as a space for innovative and collaborative teams, the workspace can host up to 100 software engineers from the local tech community in Iasi. 

The newly opened office is part of rinf.tech’s business expansion plan for 2023. The company already has a strong presence both in Romania and on the European and American markets, with offices and Delivery Centers in Berlin, Kyiv, Istanbul, Sofia, Guadalajara and Detroit. 

In particular, Iasi was chosen due to its vibrant and dynamic tech community and a strong educational infrastructure. Iasi features a mature landscape for the development and delivery of global products to international customers as well as a well-established startups ecosystem for domestic software solutions and products development. 

Besides this, both rinf.tech founders – Constantin Iftime and Victor Dornescu, and part of the Top Management team have deep personal roots in Iasi, which further solidifies our connection to the city and its community.

Earlier this year, rinf.tech was rewarded with the prize for Outsourcing software project of the year at the Employer’s Association of the Software and Services Industry (ANIS) Gala. The company was rewarded for a custom Digitization of Transportation solution that’s currently running on UK trains, ensuring higher passenger safety and helping prevent on-train vandalism and trespass.
