Validation by Robots

A 3rd party robotic unit was integrated with one of the test benches used locally enabling automated validation for automotive digital displays.

Objective

Reduce with 25% the time spent on each bench by the team members, allowing for some of the engineers to handle more rewarding task on innovation programs.

In the scope were featuring multiple testing scenarios, such as:

  • Touching the screen in different points, drawing two straight lines diagonally to calibrate the screen
  • The tests were carried both with the software framework of the robot, as well as with ProveTech:TA.
  • Touch the display in the indicated points
  • Drawing straight lines
  • Test the precision of the robot and different levels of speed
  • Integration of MATT with ProveTech software


The integration was successful, and all the following tests were done by sending commands from the test bench directly to the robotic unit.
